The Stars of New York Dance is a charitable, thrilling and judged dance competition for New York City leaders that raises dance education funds for children from low-income communities to help them develop discipline, confidence and self-esteem to succeed in school and in life.
You Watched & Voted for Your Favorite Student Dance Duo!
On Friday, December 2, hundreds watched and nearly 700 votes were cast in support of our Student Dance Duos for our first-ever 13th Annual Student Virtual Dance Competition - A Dance-off for Dance Students.
Six local dance schools presented the artistry, technique and teamwork of their student dance duos.
Hosted by Errol Louis of Spectrum News NY1, the evening celebrated young dance artists. Our special guests saluted these promising performers, and our esteemed judges provided encouraging and constructive commentary.
You voted, and Nanjee Milien and Ronnayjah Jones of Dynamic Dance Crew were crowned our first-ever Student Dance Champions and Dynamic Dance Crew won $5,000 to provide a year of free dance education and training to five children in New York City. The other participating dance schools will receive a $1,000 dance scholarship award.
